Important: These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, apps, Telegram bot, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1) Who We Are
Simple Money Tracker is a SaaS expense-tracking platform with optional paid subscriptions ("Pro"). We provide tools to log expenses, upload receipts, view insights, and access automation features (including AI and chat-based logging).
2) Eligibility (Age and Authority)
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3) Account Registration and Login
- You may sign in using Google Login. We do not require a traditional username/password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device access and account sessions.
- You agree to provide accurate information (e.g., email). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be used fraudulently, abused, or accessed unlawfully.
4) The Service Is Not a Bank or Financial Advisor (Key Disclaimer)
Simple Money Tracker is not a bank, payment institution, money transmitter, accounting firm, tax advisor, or investment advisor.
- The Service provides record-keeping and productivity tools only.
- Any insights, suggestions, categorization, summaries, or forecasts (including AI-generated outputs) are informational and may be inaccurate.
- You are solely responsible for verifying results and making financial decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for losses, damages, tax penalties, or missed opportunities arising from reliance on the Service.
5) Pro Subscription, Billing, Renewal, and Refunds
5.1 Subscription Plans
We may offer Free and Pro plans. Pro features may include higher limits, advanced insights, automation, storage, and other premium capabilities.
5.2 Payment Processor
All subscription payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store your payment card details.
5.3 Auto-Renewal
If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize PayPal (and its payment methods) to automatically charge the subscription fee at each renewal period unless you cancel before renewal.
5.4 Taxes
Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of taxes depending on your location. You are responsible for any applicable taxes unless required otherwise by law.
5.5 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period unless PayPal policies provide otherwise.
5.6 Refund Policy (Anti-Chargeback Protection)
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- All fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
- We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused features.
Exception: If mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction requires refunds in certain cases, we will comply.
5.7 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend access to your account while the dispute is resolved. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks with evidence including usage logs, subscription status, and access records.
6) User Content: Receipts, Files, Images, and Notes
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of content you upload or submit ("User Content"), including receipts, images, and notes.
6.2 License You Grant to Us
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your User Content only as necessary to provide the Service.
6.3 Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to upload, store, or transmit:
- Illegal content
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Malware, spyware, or harmful code
- Content containing extremely sensitive information you should not share (e.g., bank passwords)
We may remove content and suspend accounts for violations.
7) AI Features and Chatbot (Vertex AI / Dialogflow CX) Disclaimer
The Service may include AI-based features (e.g., categorization, summaries, coaching) and chatbot interactions.
- AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete.
- You must not rely on AI output as professional advice.
- Do not input sensitive secrets (full card numbers, banking credentials, government IDs) into AI prompts or Telegram messages.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before acting on it.
8) Telegram Integration
If you connect Telegram:
- Your messages may be transmitted through Telegram infrastructure before reaching our Service.
- You acknowledge Telegram’s terms and privacy practices may apply.
- You can disconnect Telegram at any time.
9) Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Bypass security features
- Scrape, crawl, or overload the Service
- Use the Service to violate laws (including privacy, consumer, tax, or IP laws)
- Share accounts in a way that violates plan limits or is abusive
10) Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and logos, is owned by Simple Money Tracker and its licensors and is protected by IP laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.
11) DMCA / Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and may respond to valid takedown notices.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us with:
- Your contact details
- The copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The URL or description of the infringing content
- A statement of good-faith belief
- A statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate
12) Privacy
Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
13) Security; No Warranty
We implement reasonable security measures, but the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
14) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) fees you paid us in the last 12 months, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:
- your misuse of the Service
- your violation of these Terms
- your violation of any law or third-party right (including IP and privacy rights)
16) Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- you violate these Terms
- your use poses security, legal, or operational risk
- required by law or PayPal policies
You may stop using the Service at any time.
17) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time.
If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via the website, app, or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
18) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Because the Service is operated from Vietnam but offered globally, governing law and jurisdiction can be complex.
Default rule: Unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Vietnam.
You may also have rights under local consumer laws that cannot be waived.
