This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a contract between you and Simple Money Tracker. It governs your license to use the Simple Money Tracker software — the website, web app, client-side vault/crypto code, service workers, Telegram bot integration, APIs, and related features (the "Software" or "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The licensor is Simple Money Tracker. Notices go to the contacts in Section 16. No other person or trade name is a party to this EULA unless we say so in writing.

1. Relationship to Other Documents

Read this EULA with:

Conflicts: the Terms of Use control billing, refunds, account rules, and disputes. The Privacy Policy controls personal-data practices. This EULA controls the software license grant and license restrictions.

2. License Grant

Subject to this EULA, the Terms, and the AUP, Simple Money Tracker grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Software for your own personal use, or internal use for your own organization, while your account is in good standing.

The Software is licensed, not sold. You get no ownership of the Software, source code, trademarks, or design.
The license is for the features your plan allows (Free or prepaid Pro).
You may use the Software on devices you control. A new sign-in may end the previous device session (single-session), as described in the Terms.
We may host, update, or replace client code (including the PWA / service worker) as part of this license.

We do not grant a right to copy the Service, run your own instance, or use our APIs except as the published app does.

3. What This License Does Not Cover

This EULA does not transfer ownership of:

Your content license to us (hosting ciphertext and operating the Service) is in the Terms and Privacy Policy, not a transfer of your copyright.

4. Zero-Knowledge Client Software

Parts of the Software run in your browser to encrypt and decrypt Vault Data.

You must keep the Master Password, Recovery Mnemonic, and unlocked device under your control.
We cannot reset vault keys or reconstruct plaintext if you lose both the password and the mnemonic.
Circumventing vault, session, or App Check controls is a license breach as well as an AUP breach.
This EULA does not warrant that the cryptography cannot be broken, or that the product has been independently audited end-to-end.

5. Plans and Feature Access

Pro features (for example higher AI quotas, Telegram logging, extra storage) require a valid prepaid period, trial, or gift, as described in the Terms.
Paid Pro is a one-time PayPal purchase. It does not auto-renew.
We may change Free/Pro limits and ship updates that add, change, or remove features.

6. Restrictions

You will not, and will not allow others to:

Copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Software except where mandatory law allows.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code, or bypass encryption, licensing, rate limits, or access controls, except where mandatory law allows interoperability.
Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Service, or automate access in a way that degrades it.
Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, white-label, or commercially exploit the Software without our written permission.
Share one account to evade plan limits or resell access.
Use the Software to break the law, infringe rights, or violate the AUP.
Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service.
Remove proprietary notices from the Software.

7. User Content and Storage

You own your User Content.
Encrypted vault files are stored as ciphertext. Avatars and any non-ZK uploads may be stored without vault encryption.
You must have the right to upload what you store and must not upload unlawful content.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Account deletion (7-day grace, then purge) and key loss are irreversible for vault ciphertext.

8. Third-Party Software and Services

The Software depends on third-party services (their terms apply), including:

Google — Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Storage, App Hosting, Cloud Functions, FCM, App Check / reCAPTCHA Enterprise, optional Analytics, Gemini / Vertex AI, Dialogflow CX
PayPal — checkout
Telegram — bot message delivery
Zoho / ZeptoMail — transactional email
Upstash — short-lived rate-limit / cache
Optional Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap Nominatim, and ExchangeRate-API

The Software also includes open-source and third-party libraries. Those components stay under their own licenses. This EULA does not change those licenses. If a third-party license requires attribution or source offers, we will provide them on request where required.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or their acts or omissions.

9. AI Features

Optional AI features send only the payload you submit (after local decrypt if needed) to Google-hosted models.

Output may be wrong. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
Do not enter secrets (card numbers, PINs, passwords, government IDs).
Review results before you save or act on them.

10. Feedback

If you send suggestions, reviews, or ideas, you grant Simple Money Tracker a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual right to use them to operate and improve the Service, without compensation, unless the law forbids that grant. We do not have to use your feedback.

11. Updates, Support, and Availability

We may update the Software at any time. Continued use after an update is use of the updated Software under this EULA.
We do not promise uptime, a particular device, or that any feature will remain available.
Support is provided on a commercially reasonable basis via support@simplemoneytracker.com. We do not owe custom development or data recovery.

12. Term and Termination

This license lasts until terminated.

You may stop using the Software and delete your account (7-day restore window, then purge — see the Terms and Privacy Policy).
We may suspend or end the license if you breach this EULA, the Terms, or the AUP, or if the law requires it.

When the license ends, you must stop using the Software. Sections that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, feedback, governing law) survive.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of AI output, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Zero-Knowledge encryption does not protect you from device theft, phishing, or losing your keys.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simple Money Tracker is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill — including unrecoverable Vault Data after key loss.

Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited as stated in the Terms of Use (generally the greater of fees you paid us in the prior 12 months and USD 50), unless mandatory law requires more.

15. Export Controls and Sanctions

You may not use the Software if applicable export-control or sanctions law forbids it (for example if you are in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction or on a restricted-party list). You are responsible for complying with those laws.

16. Governing Law and Contact

Governing law and disputes follow the Terms of Use (default: Vietnam, unless mandatory consumer law where you live says otherwise).

17. General

English controls if a translation differs.
If one clause is unenforceable, the rest remains.
Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
You may not assign this EULA. Simple Money Tracker may assign it in a merger, sale, or reorganization.
This EULA plus the linked policies is the license agreement for the Software.
